Founder & Chairman
Eddie Evans
Eddie Evans is a former Canadian international rugby player, entrepreneur, and long-time advocate for using sport as a platform to transform lives. He earned 50 caps for Canada between 1985 and 1999 and represented his country at three Rugby World Cups (1987, 1991, and 1995). Known for his toughness and leadership as a prop, he played during one of Canada’s strongest eras in international rugby and was later recognized for his contributions with inductions into both the Rugby Canada and BC Rugby Halls of Fame.

After his playing career, Eddie relocated to Bangkok, where he combined his passion for sport and community development by founding X-Treme Sports Gear, a company that has supported teams, athletes, and organizations across the globe. It was during this time that his heart for youth development led him to help establish the Nak Suu program in partnership with the Ark International Foundation.

As a founding leader and Chairman of Nak Suu, Eddie has been central to shaping its vision of using rugby to build character, discipline, and opportunity for underprivileged youth. Through his global rugby network, he has continually brought players, coaches, and supporters around the program, and has played a key role in connecting Nak Suu with the Bangkok International Rugby Tens Tournament, where the Nak Suu men’s team is entered each year to represent the charity throughout the event, and many of the kids get to compete.

Eddie’s leadership, generosity, and commitment have helped grow Nak Suu from a grassroots initiative into a respected program that continues to change the lives of young people through the power of rugby.
